Privacy Policy

V Coffee is a private app a coffee team uses to keep ingredients, consumables and recipes, plan what to buy for events, and record what was bought and served. This policy explains what information V Coffee collects when you sign in with Google or use it as a guest, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Google account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We only request the basic email and profile scopes and do not access your Gmail, Drive, contacts or any other Google data.
Content you add: ingredients, consumables, pack sizes and prices, recipes, events and notes, together with the price and recipe history, which records who made each change and when.
Guests: using the calculator as a guest needs no account. We set a cookie that remembers guest mode on that device for 30 days, and don't collect your name or email address.
On your device: cookies that keep you signed in, remember guest mode and remember your light or dark choice, and the calculator's menu, kept in your browser's storage until you clear it.
Technical information: standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and request times) kept by our hosting providers.

How we use it

To sign you in and decide what you can access (view only, editor or super admin, and whether you see costs).
To show your name to other team members, on the Team page and next to the price and recipe changes you make.
To store and display the content you add.
To keep the service secure and working.

We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone outside the team except the service providers below.

Service providers

V Coffee runs on third-party infrastructure that processes data on our behalf:

Google (sign-in)
Supabase (authentication and database)
Vercel (website hosting)

Google user data

V Coffee's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and deletion

Your account information is kept while you have access to V Coffee. Content stays until it is deleted; events keep a copy of the names and prices they were saved with. To have your account and personal information removed, ask a V Coffee super admin. You can also revoke V Coffee's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account's security settings.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS and access is restricted to team members using database-level permissions. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

V Coffee is intended for team members and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
